Yes, you read it right. Sunflower fields are not just a thing you see on your computer’s preset desktop backgrounds–they actually exist. Luckily enough, there’s actually one within driving distance from Tampa! If you’ve got the time this weekend, you can get there in just under an hour. I tried going here last year but they ended the season early due to a major storm that knocked out a lot of the flowers (R.I.P.). The field is located at Sweetfields Farm, and it’s actually a sunflower maze, which is even cooler. As if it couldn’t get any better, there’s actually fresh produce you can pick while you’re there too. Some of their crops include blackberries, squash, zucchini, and green beans. I’m not a big fan of veggies, but I’ll partake for the fresh berries. If you’re thinking of visiting, don’t wait!! This is most likely the last weekend that the maze will be open until next year. Details below:
Where: 17250 Benes Roush Rd. Brooksville, FL
When: This Saturday and Sunday (May 30th-31st)
